My understanding is that there are three categories of Mobile 6 devices ....

We have plans to implement a version for the "Standard" category, but that would be 2009 at the earliest.

A developer with experience writing software for the Mobile 5/6 Standard platform would be a welcome addition to our team.

Probably not. The specs indicate it uses the Mobile 6.1 STANDARD operating system, and doesn't have a touch-screen.

Sorry,
BerBible doesn't work with phones that have the Symbian operating system.

That is a long-term goal to implement a version for Symbian, but that would be late-2009 or 2010 at the earlist.

A developer with experience writing Symbian software would be a welcome addition to our team.

I have a motorola q .  As you know, berbible doesn't work on it. I get a wrong cab error.   Olive Tree has a Bible reader that works on it.

If you produce a version you would like me to test on it I would be happy to try it.

The executive summary is that if your Mobile 5/6 device has a touch-screen (and stylus), then the Pocket-PC version of the Berean Bible study freeware will probably work.

If your device doesn't have a touch-screen, and you really need PPC Bible software, then a number of vendors have software that should work. This is how I would proceed:
  • Get trial/free version from Olive Tree and/or Laridian or WORDSearch or other
  • One or several of the above may be free if the KJV is sufficient (maybe WEB also?)
  • Try to get it to work. IFF you have success, then ...
  • Decide if the cost is within your budget. (As the sayings go, "time is money" and "you get what you pay for".)
  • IFF the cost is ok, then purchase and "vaya con Dios".
